Burn Belly Fat With These Special Tips

Thousands of Americans wake up every single day and look in the mirror and come to the same conclusion: "I could stand to lose some weight." If you find yourself in this category, you have a wide variety of options to burn belly fat away. The three big options for this are to diet, lift weights and perform cardiovascular exercise. Of course, you should realistically be combining all of these options if you hope to see fast results.

The first option is to go on a diet. If you want to lose weight, simply remember that all you have to do is burn more calories than you take in. What that means is you have to decrease your intake of calories, while increasing the amount of calories you burn.

When you find the right balance the weight will start to fall off. The best way to tackle a diet is by slowly cutting out things and lowering your caloric intake. Start by recording honestly what you eat every day for a week. Count up the approximation of all those calories, figure out an average, and then subtract 500 from that number. You will want to cut out that many calories every day through a combination of your diet and exercise. By doing this you will lose 1 pound every week.

The next option to burning off the weight is to start a weight lifting program. The simple truth is that while muscle may increase your weight initially, these muscles consume fat to grow. Therefore, the more muscle you have, the more fat you will be burning when you are just sitting around doing nothing at all. There are several places to get started with lifting weights and a myriad of different goals that have different programs. The first stop should be a personal trainer who will help guide you through all of these choices and show you all the exercises of the program.

The final option to burn belly fat is cardiovascular exercise. This is a popular option and comes in all kinds of forms. Your goal here should be to get your heart rate up for 20-30 minutes. Of course, it is better to go longer, but it is even better to go harder. For example, you will get way more out of running a single mile then you will from walking two miles. This concept is often lost on people who think that by walking for hours they will shed pounds faster and this is simply not the case. Again you should strive to burn off 500 calories every day and you will lose one pound every week, if not more.

By combining these three options you should burn belly fat in no time. Cutting 500 calories or more every day from your diet and cardiovascular activity will see you losing a pound every week. If you include some weight lifting in there you should be able to cut another pound or two at the start and you will notice results much faster.
